Daniel Siegelman

Executive Chef

Born and raised in New Jersey, Daniel graduated from Johnson and Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island, with a Bachelor’s degree in Culinary Arts. Siegelman has trained in kitchens both near and far from Massachusetts to Napa Valley, and has worked alongside a variety of the nation’s most praised chefs and restaurateurs. Highlights from his extensive resume include Angela Hartnett’s Cielo at the Boca Raton Hotel, Michael Chiarello’s Bottega in California, Michael Mina’s MM74 at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach and Stephen Starr’s and Chef Justin Smillie’s Upland in Miami Beach.

Daniel brings over a decade of expertise to Point Royal’s kitchen, which he utilizes to maintain Zakarian’s pristine culinary standards. Daniel collaborates with Zakarian to produce a modern take on Florida dining, showcasing locally sourced produce to present the best of what the region has to offer. He aims to reflect dishes that emphasize the time of year, working off the seasons for inspiration.

 Daniel will also oversee culinary direction at Counter Point, Zakarian’s quick-serve café & retail shop featuring innovative coffee drinks and pressed juices as well as an array of baked goods, whimsical sweet treats and a savory menu.

 Daniel currently resides in Florida with his wife, two toddlers and their dog Dolce, named after his favorite dessert wine. He enjoys golfing, reading, working on his Mustang GT and cooking for his family when he’s not in the kitchen at Point Royal.
